The concept, music and lyrics for “Medicine” were conceived together as a band and refined in the jam room many, many moons ago.
Medicine delves into a topic close to the band’s heart and that topic is mental health in modern society. Specifically, around the mental struggles that lie within all of us and modern society's obsession with masking mental illness, with no focus on prevention.
“We are the pill popping, pain stopping, bane of our own existence. The trend must end. We must yield, reassess, and reset; this is our time…….”
Medicine was created pre-pandemic in 2018, but it’s themes and content ring truer now more than ever.
Medicine was recorded, mixed and mastered by Rhys Zacher from Spinlight Studios in Lake Macquarie, NSW.
